Deakin University has released a white paper that evaluates the opportunities and next steps for Advanced Aerial Mobility (AAM) in Australia, focusing on electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft in the passenger and freight context.

In the first study of its kind, the review looks at the challenges, potential and benefits of this technology and how it can make a significant contribution to a range of applications such as passenger and freight transport, logistics, aerial surveying, tourism and more.

The white paper aims to raise awareness and promote conversation surrounding this advancing technology for Australian policy makers and regulators, infrastructure owners, operators and transport users and the wider community, providing a greater understanding of the barriers to overcome and the benefits that can be realised.
