​The Transport and Logistics, and Rail Industry Reference Committees have submitted the Case for Endorsement and draft Training Package materials for TLI Transport and Logistics Training Package (Release 13.0) to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) for consideration at its meeting in August 2022.

This included work on the following projects:

  • Rail Safety Management – Update of the Certificate IV in Rail Safety Management and Certificate IV in Rail Investigation qualifications to address changes in technology and national rail network standards, prevention and risk management mitigation capabilities, including safety regulations associated with the role of rail safety management or investigation.
  • Driving Instruction – Certificate IV qualifications in Transport and Logistics, Road Transport – Car Driving Instruction; Heavy Vehicle Driving Instruction; and Motorcycle Riding Instruction have been amalgamated to one new qualification, Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training. The qualification now includes three specialised streams. 
  • Mobile Crane Operations – The Certificate III and Certificate IV in Mobile Crane Operations and associated Units of Competency have been revised to address changes in technology, transport related activity risk factors and regulations associated with the role of a mobile crane operator.
