The TLI Transport and Logistics Training Package (Release 12.0) has been endorsed by the Skills Ministers for implementation.

The Transport and Logistics Industry Reference Committee and Rail Industry Reference Committee, with the support of Technical Advisory committees, have updated the Training Package to address priority skills needs. The changes incorporate recent technology advancements and align with applicable regulatory requirements.

This included work on the following projects:

  • Customs Broking – Training materials have been updated to incorporate Licensed customs brokers’ skills and knowledge requirements to align with regulatory requirements, blockchain and data analytics and to enhance the resilience of the supply chain.
  • Electric Heavy Vehicle – Two new Units of Competency developed to address the required skills and knowledge for working with and operating electric bus or heavy vehicle.
  • Rail Traffic Pilot – A new Unit of Competency and Skill Set address the required skills and knowledge for Rail traffic pilots to manage rail traffic movement safely, efficiently, and effectively across networks under a variety of circumstances.
