tafe Queensland’s Mobile Trade Training Vehicles went to Queensland Parliament recently to showcase their flexible, mobile training on offer across the state.
Minister for Training and Skills Development Shannon Fentiman said tafe Queensland provide on-site training and assessment in workplaces throughout the state.
“No matter where you live in Queensland, tafe can provide the best in training for our young apprentices,” Ms Fentiman said.
“Travelling more than 20,000km every year, these specialised Mobile Trade Training Vehicles are unique to tafe Queensland and provide flexible and convenient training for young apprentices. Delivering training in automotive, construction, plumbing and heavy vehicle – these vehicles reach thousands of apprentices from hundreds of different employers each year.”
Some employers that benefit from the tafe Queensland’s workplace training include Origin Energy, Regional Councils, Isuzu, Volvo and Star Entertainment group.
“tafe Queensland vehicles provide flexible and mobile training to all regions, including training from eight of their specialised Mobile Trade Training Vehicles which are based in the south east,” Ms Fentiman said. “We will be expanding these Mobile Trade Training Vehicles across the state.
