Extended to Monday 27 September 2021.

As part of Skills Reform, the Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE) has the following open consultations:

Qualifications Reform Survey

This survey is targeted towards VET stakeholders involved in the design, development and delivery of national training products, although anyone who is interested may respond. The purpose of this survey is to seek views on how new training product design concepts might work in practice. Feedback will inform advice to Skills Ministers and future approaches to qualification design, and help ensure the needs of employers and learners are better met now and in the future. Closes 10am (AEST) Monday 27 September 2021.

Draft VET Workforce Quality Strategy

The consultation draft of the VET Workforce Quality Strategy (the draft Strategy) is now available and feedback is sought on whether the measures proposed will effectively support the quality of the VET workforce. The draft Strategy covers the following themes:

– Capability frameworks and professional standards
– Qualifications and entry pathways
– Ongoing professional support (e.g. professional development, mentoring, induction support)
– Fostering best practice and continuous improvement
– Workforce planning and data

The draft Strategy has been informed by stakeholder feedback received earlier this year during consultations. This feedback may be helpful to read and consider when providing your response. Closes 5pm (AEST) Monday 27 September 2021.
