Jobs Queensland Chair Professor Peter Coaldrake invites you to attend Embracing our future: Building Queensland’s workforce on 12 November 2019.
The event will bring together industry, community and government groups. It will provide insights into Jobs Queensland’s work, including how industry and regional engagement is shaping our work and its impacts.
The Honourable Shannon Fentiman MP, Minister for Employment and Small Business and Minister for Training and Skills Development, will speak about how Jobs Queensland’s independent expert advice is informing and influencing Queensland Government policies and programs.
You will also have the opportunity to attend one of two breakout sessions focused on how Jobs Queensland’s research and data can be used in practical ways by industries, regions and businesses. These sessions will be run simultaneously.
- Session 1: Anticipating future skills
This session will showcase how a diverse range of stakeholders are using Jobs Queensland’s projections of future employment.
- Session 2: Workforce planning
This session will highlight the importance of proactive workforce planning for enterprises, regions and industries, and demonstrate the tools and resources available to support workforce planning.

Registration opens from 9:30am for a 10am start. A networking lunch will commence from 12pm.
