International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) Women’s Forum have strong foundations in advancing and empowering women in maritime, creating platform to discuss women’s issues in the maritime industry, develop recommendations and policies on equality, advancement and empowerment, collaborate with other ports, UN organisations and other maritime entities to implement these recommendations and policies, attract and retain more women in maritime through to senior leadership and executive positions.
The Women in Ports Mentoring Program (pilot programme) is a specifically designed fit for purpose online mentoring program designed as a collaborative approach to encouraging and supporting women in the maritime industry.
In the Program, the mentee’s and mentors will basically all come from IAPH member ports, however some mentors from outside of IAPH member ports may come if they are in unique / niche sectors of maritime. There are still opportunities for more women in IAPH member ports to join the program.
The project period runs from 1 April 2019 to 30 March 2020.
