The Rail Industry Reference Committee is seeking feedback in regards to the below cases for change within the Training Package work.

A Case for Change has been developed by the Rail IRC to develop two new Skill Sets.

1. Autonomous Trains and Rail Vehicles Skill Set

This Skill Set aims to address the Rail industry’s need for skilled workers required for the safe operation of autonomous trains and rail vehicles. The purpose of this project is to ensure that the integration of autonomous trains and rail vehicles do not cause safety issues on the rail system.

2. Human Factors Skill Set

This Skill Set aims to address the management of human factors for rail safety work, network control, train operations and customer service.
