Skills Reform – Industry Clusters – Industry Briefing
January 20, 2022 - 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
New industry engagement arrangements are in the process of being formed as part of the national Skills Reform commitment. New Industry Clusters will be established by the Australian Government to provide industry with a stronger, more strategic voice and broader role in ensuring Australia’s VET system continues to deliver on employer and learner needs.
The Industry Clusters will be groups of aligned industries with a strategic leadership role to identify, forecast and respond to the current and emerging skills needs and workforce challenges of their industries.
Stage one of the two-stage grant process to establish Industry Clusters is now open, closing 31 March 2022.
A second Industry Briefing will be held online at 2pm (AEDT) Thursday 20 January 2022 and will include clarification on eligibility and governance arrangements, further information on frequently asked questions and the application process for the Stage 1 Grant Opportunity.
Further information on the proposed Industry Clusters structure and groupings can be found at https://www.skillsreform.gov.au/papers/factsheet-ie-structure/
