The Technical Advisory Committees (TAC’s) for the following projects have considered all stakeholder feedback and released final draft training materials. Feedback is sought to validate these draft training materials and to ensure the proposed products meet industry needs. Feedback to be submitted by close of business Friday 8 October 2021.
The Aviation Supervision project has added a new specialisation stream, Aviation Supervision – Flight Operations to the Certificate IV in Aviation (Aviation Supervision), and the following formerly deleted Units of Competency were reinstated:
AVIH0011 Manage aircraft performance and load
AVIY0042 Apply aeronautical knowledge and civil air law to flight dispatch operations
The TAC also revised one Unit of Competency, AVIH0012 Implement instrument flight rules planning procedures to ensure it aligns with current practice and procedures.
The Commercial Pilot Regulatory Update project has updated three Units of Competency in the Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence – Aeroplane)
AVILIC0003Y Licence to operate a commercial aeroplane
AVIY0046Y Execute advanced aeroplane manoeuvres and procedures
AVIY0017Y Control aircraft in advanced flight manoeuvres. (This unit has been added to the elective bank of the qualification following the deletion of an Aviation Skill Set).
