The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) for the Chief Remote Pilot Project, have considered all stakeholder feedback and have released revised draft training materials.

A new Diploma of Aviation Chief Remote Pilot (CRP) and four new Units of Competency have been drafted to address processes and procedures in the drone industry. These occupational skills standards will enable safety improvements, support regulatory and procedural leadership, and the mobility of workers in this expanding industry.

The TAC has changed the unit title of AVIW0002Y Manage multi-crew operations in beyond visual line of sight operations in the Certificate IV in Aviation (Remote Pilot-Beyond Visual Line of Sight) to AVIW0002Y Manage multi-crew operations and added it to the new Diploma. This makes the unit more applicable in different industry contexts.

Feedback is invited up to close of business Monday 21 March 2022.
