The 2018 IRC Key Findings Discussion Papers have been released for industry consultation.

Outlining the future opportunities, challenges and new and emerging skills within the aviation, transport and logistics, maritime, energy, water and utilities, public safety, fire, defence and corrections industries, the Key Findings Papers are the result of a research and development process that included:

  • Call for Submissions process inviting stakeholder responses about key issues affecting skills and workforce development
  • An IRC Skills Forecast Survey seeking information on priority skill needs, skill shortages and issues relating to workforce training, and
  • A comprehensive review of Data and Research Sources nominated by each IRC

The information contained in the Key Findings Papers will assist the IRCs to develop the 2018 IRC Skills Forecasts which will provide advice to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee on industry priorities, skills shortages and propose future Training Package development activity.
